I messaged the company regarding a purchase I made on September 18, 2023: the Infrared Professional Flat Iron. I bought it for my daughter when it was first released. After only 2½ years of use, it completely stopped working.
I contacted the company to see what could be done and asked if there was any option to have it repaired, similar to how Dyson services their products. I didn’t mind paying for the repair. I explained the issue in detail and provided photos and videos showing that the straightener would shut off after only a few seconds of being turned on.
A day later, I received a response that simply said: “Hello, Since it’s been more than one year the warranty does not have coverage anymore?!”
That was it. No attempt to help, no alternative options, and no answer to my actual question.
I responded and asked, “Is there any option for repair or anything outside of warranty?” They completely ghosted me.
So apparently, if you buy a hot tool from this company and it stops working after the warranty expires, your only option is to throw it away—along with the money you spent on it.
What makes this even more disappointing is that I’ve dealt with companies like Bogg Bag, Dyson, and Hollister, all of which provided excellent customer service when issues arose. For example, my Dyson Airwrap stopped working after seven years. Dyson informed me that my warranty had expired, but they still offered a paid repair option. They created a shipping label, repaired my product, and returned it working like new.
Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Simply Mandys. Once your product stops working, you’re apparently on your own. And completely ignoring a customer who is simply asking about repair options is incredibly unprofessional.
Very disappointed. I will not be purchasing from this company again.
